The lovely Villages of Chocorua and Tamworth are surrounded with picturesque natural wonders that will amaze and calm the soul. Set as the gateway into the Mt. Washington Valley, these villages are not only worth a peek, but should include a couple nights stay as well.

Chocorua Lake is the most serene and stunning lake set along Route 16. Reflected off the smooth glasslike waters are the mountains that set the most perfect backdrop. Known as one of the most photographed mountains in the United States, Mt. Chocorua is absolutely breathtaking.

Chocorua and Tamworth Villages offers many outdoor recreational activities to embark upon. The Villages border the White Mountain National Forest, which provides miles of hiking and biking.  Fly fishing and hunting are other activities that may suit your fancy. In the summer, you may find swimmers cooling off at the lake or couples taking a relaxing stroll along the trails. During the winter months you can enjoy Alpine Skiing , Cross Country Skiing, Ice Skating, Snowmobiling, Tubing, Horse Back Riding, Sleigh Rides, Snowshoeing and Ice Climbing just to name a few.

Home to one of the oldest summer theaters, Barnstormers, the Village is your getaway to cultural and eclectic events. The Remick Country Doctor Museum & Farm is a working farm where you can try your hand at daily chores such as grinding corn, pitching hay, churning butter, or get up close to the farm animals. During the winter, a two-day sled dog race commences on Chocorua Lake, which is a fun and exciting event for the whole family.

After an invigorating day of activities, you may kick back and enjoy one of the fine dining restaurants in the area.

The Villages of Chocorua and Tamworth welcomes you into their 'Quiet Corner" for your next secret sweet escape ....
